Outpost of the GermanOcean Museum Exhibitation centre for fishery, ocean research, hydrography and maritime routes

On the 2,3ha big ground atthe Alten Tonnenhof on the island D�nholm in Strelasund and the island R�gen was the NAUTINEUM D�nholm build asthe newoutpost of the DMM. It will be expanded in the coming years.

In the buildings and in the free space area are exhibitations (with big exhibits) shown with following topics:

Fishery vehicles, -methods and -equipment (with fishing boats)

Ocean and fisheryresearch inGermany (with underwater laboratory "Helgoland")

Shipping at the Baltic Sea and Bodden (with sea-marks)

Navigation in ice (possibility to visit the icebreaker "Stephan Jantzen")

Alongside, there are repositories for big dimention collected goods and storage rooms for exhibitation goods.The directly at the Strelasund situated area offers intersting views towards the Volkswerft (shipyard), to the new Tonnenhof, to the R�gendamm and to the old city of Stralsund. The old Tonnenhof is easy to reach from the Bundesstra�e 96. There are 80 parking spaces for visitors as well as a boat shuttle from the NAUTINEUM to the city harbour ( then walk to the Ocean museum). This is an interesting offer to visit the main office. There is a museums shop and a summer catering service which offers native fishproducts.
